This year is our 15th year having a Wishing Tree at Shore Reserve for Christmas to support the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal to help put a smile on kids’ faces at Christmas.
For the first 11 years, our generous members donated over 100 toys each year and for the past 3 years the West Coburg Netball Club has joined us resulting in over 200 toys being donated in each of those years.
This year we have a Wishing Tree at both Morris and Shore Reserves – gifts need only be $10 or $15 but it would mean a lot to families who may not be as fortunate as ourselves.
Please don’t wrap the gifts because the Salvos will only unwrap them when allocating them to families.
With bushfires and other issues facing families, this year will be an even bigger task for the Salvos and your continued support would even more special.
We will take the donations to the Salvation Army Depot in Tinning Street in Brunswick on Thursday 19th December so that gives us 3 weeks.
